Palawan is known as the largest province of the Philippines in terms of total area of jurisdiction. Palawan Island is 280 miles long and 31 miles wide plus a lot of islands sorrounded on the main land. If you picture the map of Palawan, it lookslike a closed umbrella. From the northern part of Palawan, there are the Municipalities of Busuanga, Coron, Culion and Linapacan. Coron is one of the first class municipality. It stretch in Mindoro on the northeast part of the island and on Borneo on the southwest part. And Balabac Island is located off on the southern tip of Palawan. While the capital of Palawan is located in the central main land of the Island known as Puerto Princesa City.
